What is a dry skin type?

• Dry skin is caused by a lack of sebum compared to normal skin, an oily substance our skin needs to function.
• With a lack of sebum, dry skin is lacking in lipids which are needed to retain moisture and protect the skin from external aggressors, often causing redness and irritability.
